Gingerbread house 2018

This is something I decided to make to really help me learn Fusion 360 better.  It was not really necessary but it was a learning experience.  I know it is not perfect and there is one small flaw in the back of the house, but it does print.   Every year I make multiple gingerbread houses for church to have a family friendly event where people gather to decorate ginger bread houses.  Every year I have designed the houses myself and baked them for everyone to enjoy the decorating process.  This year I decided to design the house then design cookie cutter style templates instead of just making cardboard or paper templates.   The windows are created by adding broken Jolly Ranchers into the windows.  The door is large enough to accommodate many types of LED powered candles for lighting up your creation.   The biggest challenge I found for these cookie cutter templates for printing is that you have a lot of surface area on the bed so proper leveling it very key.  I typically do not print many pieces that go this close to the edge of my printer, so this was a pretty good test for printing closer to the edges.   I did use PLA that is certified for use with food.  Please note that due to the nature of FDM printing you probably will not want to keep these for too long as you will not be able to properly clean the small areas between the layers.   The photos I am uploading are from a house that has been assembled, but not decorated, as it is to be decorated at the event coming up.  I will upload more photos of decorated houses after the event in a few days.   I hope you have as much fun with this template as I have.
