Description
This multi-part kit includes the supported files to print a Sectarian Death Lord, a highly versatile character model of the Lost Legion faction. Parts- 10x base body variants. Flaming skull, flaming skull without cape, hollow armour, skeleton and screaming skeleton, all available in a static pose and a running one.- 3x backpack options, with a skull familiar for both poses and without one.- 4x pauldron designs.- 4x basing options (two for each pose) in different sizes and formats. These are fully optional and both pose types can still be put on a regular flat base. All arms below are available both in skeleton and hollow variants, except for the Phosphex claw which doesn't have a hollow version:- 1x empty arm.- 1x clenched fist phosphex claw.- 2x open phosphex claws, with or without chem/ sorcerous fire.- 2x liche sword poses.- 2x radiation hammer poses.- 2x power sickle poses.- 2x archaic pistol poses.- 2x basic pistol poses. Remember all bits can be mirrored for even more variety and options, which is particularly relevant for the arms. This model is the standard marine size, and as such is compatible with a ton of bits from the Lost Legion range, or even from other brands. This means that if you don't like this particular pattern of backpack, you feel there is a specific weapon missing, or would like a pauldron with the iconography of your own legion, you can totally just grab that from somewhere else! Additionally this is a brother kit to the Tyrant Death Lord, which is the "living" variant. I recommend upscaling by 10% for prime armies, or even for heresy collections if you want characters to stand out more, though be aware the bases can already give it some extra height. The skull/ hooded heads can make him look shorter than helmeted marines, so I did print mine (the one primed light gray in the pictures) at a 105% scale to make up for it. Lore titbit:Many remembrancers compared the Lost Legion's structure to that of the secretive cults that plagued the human empire, a series of specialised cells, the Sects, that could either operate independently or come together for larger scale conflicts. At the head of each Sect was one of the legendary Death Lords, warriors of grim reputation and storied names, true walking myths, whose deeds were whispered about in awe among the other armies of the empire... or at least they were, until the Lost Legion was completely erased from all archives and all their glory was censored in shame and utter contempt. From the pyromaniac leader of the Cremators Sect to the almost heretical innovation of the Requiem's commander, each Death Lord specialised in their own style of warfare, using some of the most sophisticated weaponry from the legion's arsenal like the blood-freezing Liche Swords, sweeping Power Sickles or the concentrated power of Radiation Hammers. Some even dared to wield Phosphorex Claws, an instrument so hazardous that even their undead physiology wouldn't be enough to resist it's lethality from such a close range if it wasn't for the Void Halo reserved to their rank.
