Blossoming Pencil Cup and Case

Ideal for going back to school, simple to print and assemble, multifunctional, and a stylish flower-like design: a pencil cup that easily transforms into a pencil case.

Choose your size
Do you go for an XL size (shown in the pictures) that fits all of your coloring pencils or for a normal size that is easier to carry (half the width and lower height than the XL version)? The choice is yours.

Fully 3D printed - no support or glue needed
Very easy design to print, with built-in supports for the 'petals' of the flower cup. Optionally use your own supports with the STL without built-in support. 

Use a piece of filament as hinge to attach the petals to the cup.

Screw cap
The petals of the flower cup can be left open when used as pencil cup on a desk. However, - when you need to move - easily close the flower to use the cup as case.
To transform cup into case: easily unscrew the top screw, fold the petals back up and screw back in the 'stem' of the flower so the petals are locked securely in place while travelling.

Printed parts
Entire assembly has only 3 different parts: screw cap 'stem', 'petals' (you need 8 of those) and the 'cup' itself.

Note: Do not scale the parts, because the holes in the 'petals' are designed for a piece of filament to nicely fit through as hinge!
