This oversized pencil isn't just for show – it's a spacious pencil case designed to hold all your writing essentials. The 3D printed design mimics a classic pencil while providing a practical storage space inside. Perfect for creatives who want to keep their arsenal of pens, pencils, and markers in style! :).
Designed entirely for 3D printing, this pencil case requires no extra hardware — no bolts, nuts, or other accessories. All you need are the printed parts, a bit of filament for the joints, and a touch of glue. That’s it! The assembly process is straightforward, making it easy for anyone to assemble.
Slicer settings:
- I used PLA and its sufficient, but you can also use PETG for more durability
- 2 perimeters are enough
- 20% infill
- few parts need some supports, but most of them are supportless!
All threads are modeled with some clearance to work well after assemble.
How to assemble:
- Apply glue to the retractable part “Upper base”
- Put “Upper base” inside of part “Lower base”
- Again place some glue on the bottom of the part “Lower base”, and also on part “Enging of pencil” on the middle hole
- Put “Pin connector” into some of the two holes, and stick those two big parts together. The connector serves for perfect centration.
- as a final step, we're going to connect the parts of the boxes. Align the boxes from the opening through the middle to the ending. Cut pieces of filament so that there is a bit of overhang at each end. Insert the filament into the overhangs on the bottom of the boxes. Now heat the overhanging ends and gently pinch the melted filament so that the end is flattened. Do this between all parts. Use another piece of plastic or anything else to flatten it (I strongly advise against using your own hands as you will get burned!)
