Description
This is a quick reference (non-manifold/non-printable) 3D Scan of a Fram FF3614 oil filter for your own design purposes. The threaded side I didn't need for my project but scanned it for practice anyways. It didn't come out perfect because of the exposed metal surface, but all of the important features are clean. I used this model to create a functional hand turn filter socket. Scanned using a RevoPoint Miraco handheld scanner.
I will also soon be adding the accompanying files that include the hand turn socket itself, a wrench for leverage, and a 6" access hole cap for a 2016 Ford Focus to eliminate the need to remove the entire underbody panel for a quick oil change using a top-side vacuum recovery system. The less time spent under 3000lbs of metal the better!
