Description
So… I dropped my original Ikea Droppar 17cm lid and the glass window shattered. The Droppar-jar is no longer sold by Ikea, so I decided to make a 3D printable model as a replacement. I hope other people find this useful too.
This lid is compatible with the silicone seal ring of the original lid, so before trashing the broken lid, remember to remove the seal by pulling it out with pliers. It will easily fit over the inner lip.
I printed this with Prusament PETG (Signal White). Probably any material is good, but keep in mind that this is usually a food related container. By using Octagram Spiral as the first layer infill you can achieve a similar nice surface pattern as in one of the pictures. Set enough horizontal shells, or 1mm minimum shell thickness, to completely fill the “roof” of the lid to keep it sturdy. The 3MF file contains all my print settings, if you are interested.
Enjoy the continued life of your precious jar. :)
