Simagic P1000 (F) Pedal Plate with Sidestop

I love my P1000f pedals from Simagic for many reasons, but the original pedal plates are not one of them. I found them too slippery and small, and the curvature is not precisely “sporty”—at least for open-wheel racing.

My take on the plates is simple, but it has made handling a race car in heated-up battles much more reliable.

Firstly, there is only one symmetrical version, so you can use the plate on the throttle and brake pedal. The only difference is in the arrangement of screw holes. You'll find versions with two, three, and four holes. The pedal plates marked as “symmetric” can be used on both pedals by turning them around. The ones labeled as “asymmetric” need to be mirrored along their width axis. They have an offset of 9mm, which will move the pedal this amount on the vertical axis and allow you to fine-tune your pedal position even more.

I use the two-hole version because I don't like the feeling of those screw holes underneath my foot, but the four-hole version is closest to the original pedal plate configuration,

Secondly, the pedal plates have a side stop wall. This stop prevents your foot from slipping off the plate, makes it easier to find the perfect foot position blindly, and you can rest your foot on long straights for your convenience.

Lastly, they have vertical anti-slip lines that prevent side slipping but allow for heel-toeing of the pedal.

Note: The original screws of the P1000 pedal set can be used with this mod without any restrictions.

Printing

I used PETG-CF (carbon fiber induced) filament, which makes the pedal very rigid. 

The other parameters are

• 5 perimeters
• 5 top and bottom layers
• 15% Grid infill
• Top Layer Pattern: Monotonic Lines
• 0.2 mm layer height

I used a Generic-Box modifier in Prusa Slicer for the side stop to increase the perimeter count to 7. This way, using a 0.4 mm nozzle, you will get a sturdy structure without infill and with evenly spaced extrusion lines.
