This is direct replacement for Neptune 2 / 2s to fit aliexpress high flow hotend, it does not fit standard ender 3 / micro swiss hotend! In order to install this mod you'll need some hardware, recommended settings and some tips
Hardware
- M5 bolts the same as on stock neptune, but a little longer (or stock are fine, I don't remember :D )
- M3 Heat inserts (voron specs) to mount things like ADXL
- 2x 4010 radial fan
- 1x 4010 or 4020 axial fan for hotend cooling
- High flow hotend
- Some M3 DIN912 bolts of different length ( I do not create BOM, since I have like thousands of screws so I just pick some)
Recommended Settings
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Line width: 0.4mm
- Material: ABS, PETG, PC, PC-ABS, PLA+ ?(I don't know about this one)
Basically I printed this on Voron recommended settings from ABS
Random suggestions before / in / after installation
- The hotend probably is mounted on the stock location, so it's firmly held by metal bracket
- Probably dremmel is necessary, since my friend after install told me that thermistor and heater wires have little to no place
- Do not hesitate to sand, file or grind stuff. Make it fit for your case :) This is really DYI recommended mod
- Check Bl-Touch offset, since I had no time to test it
Install Dual Z mod from ender onto the printer before this install, you can omit this but direct drive is causing a lot more weight being driven, so this can fail really fast or after some time, and trust me fixing bracket is not funny (been there done that)
