Description
This is my first design that I have uploaded. I used to be certified in AutoCad over a decade ago, and now that I am Printing, I figured its time to start designing.
This hook is specifically designed to be used with 1.25in wide Alien Tape. You just cut it to the correct length and stick it right in the pocket on the bottom. Its quite strong, I was able to grab on and lean back with my body weight (130lbs). It is designed to send the load to the base of the arch so that it won't peel the tape. I suspect, but haven't fully tested that this could be very good as a General Utility Hook, to hang things like backpacks, tools, and other objects.
This is a super simple, easy print. No supports, 10-20% infill and shouldn't take more than 3hrs if you print two of them. I have provided the 3mf. file with the correct orientation (On its side) and this has two hooks.
Check my “read me!” file for the instructions, but I will also provide them below.
"Just real quick, make sure you keep your brim a little distant from the print. I would suggest 0.20mm - 0.25mm I tried my default at 0.16mm and it left a lot of post processing to deal with.
*Absolutely print on its side, I did provide a 3mf. file with the correct orientation. I am new to this so you probably will know this better than I did.
*0.2mm Layer Height min.
*10-20% infill is fine
*NO SUPPORTS"
Please feel free to work on this as much as you'd like. I'd love to see some decorative designs on the surface. Please attribute me in any work that you do and send me what you make, I don't want to miss out. [email protected] for questions or to share your remix.
THANK YOU
