Description

Model

This is a three part wash basket for 5.5L food storage containers which can easily be found in Australia. Great for medium / large format printers, fits parts up to 18cm x 18cm x 20cm. Please note that parts as small as 4mm will also work just as well.

Make sure to print the base with the flat face down and to print the handles upside down (use ghetto goop or bed adhesion to ensure these do not come loose during printing).

Parts needed

4 x m3 threaded inserts (4mm diameter)
4 x m3 24mm countersunk screws
1 x 5.5L food storage container (see links below for sources)

Assembly

(1) Insert the two heat set inserts into the handle, repeat this step if you have printed two handles.

(2) Screw the handle into the base using two countersunk screws, repeat this step if you have printed two handles.

Please also note that catch.com.au and Target Australia also currently stock this same container. Other international stores may also a similar size or identical container.

Disclaimer

Make sure you print this out of either PETG, PP or plain Nylon and use stainless steel screws. If you do not then the cleaning solution will begin to break down the printed parts, other filaments may work for a while but they will begin to warp and crack if kept submerged for a long period of time.
