My daughter really likes mushrooms. No, she doesn't eat them (I, on the other hand, love the taste); she just thinks mushrooms are cool. Or slay, I can't understand the youth slang. Anyway, I made her a jewelry organizer in shape of a mushroom house. It's a long print, but the result is really worth it. At least if you love mushrooms. :)Â
Â
Features
- Each dot is removable and hides a small storage. There are total of 18 holes in the cap - 3 large, 3 medium and 8 small.Â
 - There are hooks on the ring where you can hang your bracelets etc
 - Doors and windows are small drawers
 - Grass around the house serves as a holder for rings
 - Under cap, around gills there are holes for earrings
Â
Customize your mushroom house!Â
To make your mushroom house more like you, carve your name to the doorstep.Â
I've included blank doorstep, so you can add text in Prusa slicer (instructions) or your favorite 3D program.Â
I've also included Autodesk Fusion file, where you can just edit the sample text.Â
NB! Carve (cut) the text, don't extrude it or it might get in the way on the door drawer. Â
Â
Print instructions
Each part has to be printed once, except for the dots:Â
- Large - 3x
- Medium - 3x
- Small - 8x
Layer height: I used 0.15 for all parts, but I guess that (depending on the quality you need) 0.2 would be good also.Â
I've included print files for MK3S also.Â
Supports differ by part; orientation is default if not specified otherwise:
- Base - No supports, 4 perimeters (to give the grass more strength)
- Gills - Support on base plate, orientation backwards (the gills part is on top)
- Windows - No support
- Door - Support on build plate
- Doorstep - No supportsÂ
- Ring - Support on build plate, orientation backwards.Â
- Dots - No supports
- Cap - Support on build plate
- Stalk - Support on build plate, add support blocker for door. Otherwise slicer creates support for front part of the door also, this is unnecessary.
Â
Assembly instructions
After printing all the parts this should be pretty self explanatory:Â
- Glue doorstep to the base (I used superglue for all the parts)
- This step is optional - there is a space on the base where you can add some weight (washers, nuts, whatever is lying around) to make the base more heavy. But this isn't actually necessary.
 - Glue stalk to the base
- Glue ring to the stalk. The hooks should not be in front so things hanging from there won't block the drawers.Â
- Join gills and cap. This is a pretty tight fit, so no glue is needed, but you can add some.Â
- Glue gills to the ring
- Insert windows, door and dots. Don't glue them!Â

Filaments I used
Of course you can use other colors and filaments, here is a list of mine (all PLA):Â
- Base - Spectrum Forest Green
- Gills - Prusament Vanilla White
- Windows and Door - Prusament Mystic Brown
- Doorstep - Prusament Marble Grey
- Ring and Stalk - Prusament Pristine White
- Dots - Actually I used spool ends of any white filament I had lying around. There were Prusament Blend Pearl White, Prusa PLA White and Prusament Pristine White
- Cap - Spectrum Dragon Red
