Description
Introducing the Hydroelectric Plug, the latest addition to the Cursed Connectors series! This 3D printed marvel connects a garden hose a standard NEMA 15-5 receptacle providing a unique way to power your devices with the immense force of your local water pressure. Also can be used as unique spray hose nozzle :).
In the attached photos, you’ll see the Hydroelectric Plug in action, with water flowing efficiently through the outlet. I even used it to make hot water for my tea on my deck using the “power from the hose.” Talk about a refreshing way to brew tea!
This model is perfect for anyone who loves shocking solutions and enjoys combining everyday items in new and improbable ways. Whether you’re looking to enhance your garden setup or just want a conversation starter, the Hydroelectric Plug is sure to electrify your day!
3MF and STEP file included.
Material: Printed here with durable ASA, this model can be as robust as it is absurd. PLA/PETG can work too.
Layer height: Prints well at 0.16 or 0.12 layer height here in ASA. You probably want thinner layers for good threads. If you have not shrink-corrected your ASA printing profiles, you may need to enlarge the model to ~100.7%. Should just fit for PLA/PETG prints.
I recommend printing Plug-side down on the bed, supports not needed. For best performance use a rubber garden hose gasket seal or print the TPU one included and insert it on the female side of the garden hose thread.
Fine Print: This model is purely for funsies. While the female receptacle nature of this model makes it unlikely you'll actually manage to connect water to power, please don't try to do obviously stupid things (or at least without proper precautions).
