Prusa XL Integrated Steel Sheet Rack for Enclosure | Print-In-Place! | Up to 5 Sheets!

My latest version of the integrated sheet holder for the Prusa XL.  The Prusa Enclosure adds a large metal piece to the frame that blocks the old design.  I've taken the original (plus inspiration from the brilliant additions by @Surfalex2000) and added 2 print-in-place hinges.  One to allow the holder to rotate up and down providing easy access.  The second slips down a kickstand to lock the holder for easy access.

The added height is great even without an enclosure and provides much more clearance over the LCD screen.  

A slight curve is built into the model to help prevent any resonance.  

The brace kit is optional but highly recommended, especially when using PETG.  You may not need it if you print in a more rigid material, such as ASA.  PLA may also work but I worry about a hot bed being so close when printing tall models.

The steel sheets are mounted in a forward position to avoid interfering with or putting strain on the cable chain.  Don't forget to flip down the holder when printing tall models!

Supports are required but they are very easy to remove.  The hinges are print-in-place.  They take a little force to break free but move smoothly after that.  Grab the kickstand for this step, not the knob, or it may snap.

Additional hardware:

• 6x - short M3 screws.  I used the leftover M3x8bT screws that came with the printer/enclosure.  Or use this Amazon affiliate link (or alternate) to purchase more.  (Optional but recommended)

IMPORTANT!  

After printing, the legs will be physically connected to the base.  They should break free very easily.  But be sure to pull on the legs and not the handles.  The handles may snap off if done incorrectly.  After they are broken free, they will move very easily.
