Description
IMHO the Wyse 5070 is still an excellent piece of HW considering it can host up to 32GB of RAM and uses very little power. Getting one from ebay is cheaper than a raspberry pi + PSU + case. There are shortcomings, too. The Wyse 5070 only has a M.2 SATA connector, and these SSD are going out of fashion and it doesn't really make sense to spend money on this outdated technology. This holder is for mounting a M.2 key A/E to M.2 key M adapter (see picture), so that modern M.2 NVMe SSD can be used in the 5070. The Wifi module has to be sacrificed to plug in the NVMe adapter. The holder is screwed to the threads in the motherboard and the NVMe adapter is screwed to the holder using M2x4 screws.
Printing is easy, no supports required when printed upside-down. After printing simply punch through the thin plastic layer covering the screw holes.
