Description
I recently tested the Bambu Hotend on my VZ235 after hearing positive reviews about its performance. Since I primarily print technical parts that require high durability, strong layer adhesion is a key factor for me. Through my testing, I discovered that printing at speeds of 250mm/s with an acceleration of 15,000mm/s² provides optimal results. Therefore, the lower flow rates of the Bambu Hotend, compared to other ultra-high-flow (UHF) hotends, haven’t been an issue in my experience.
I’m quite satisfied with the results. I purchased the TZ V2.0 Bambu Hotend on AliExpress for around $15, and it has proven to be a solid performer. Layer quality and flow are excellent, meeting my needs perfectly.
The adapter I used was roughly milled, as it was just for testing purposes—special thanks to Hubi for helping with that! Please don't judge the finish too harshly. Despite the rough appearance, it has been dimensionally tested and works as expected.
You can use either the Trihorn or the short fan duct; sliding the "Hanging Man" all the way up will allow it to fit the length of the hotend perfectly.
For the thermistor, select "Generic 3950" in Klipper. I strongly recommend using a high-quality heater, such as those from Mellow or the original Bambu heater, for better performance. Additionally, be sure to use quality boron nitride thermal paste for optimal heat transfer.
