Description

This is a decorative Vans logo that you can set on your desk. It is best printed in multi-color, where you print it one piece at a time and set a "filament change" at a certain layer. Any printer can do this, not just multi-color printers.

I originally designed this for one of my brothers and didn't plan on publishing it, but I thought it was so neat that I wanted to share it with everyone on this site.

"How do I set a filament change?"

Step 1: load object into Prusa slicer

Step 2: flip object onto the side with the protruding textures

Step 3: click "slice now"

Step 4: to the right of the object preview, you'll see a slider. Slide it to the first layer of the protruding texture. For example, for the base it's layer 31.55 (628).

Step 5: to the right of the slider on the layer you slid to, you'll see a plus (+) icon. Right click it and select "color change"

Step 6: add the color change and re-slice the object

Step 7: export and print

Don't like my instructions? Prusa luckily has a video here:

No supports are needed for this. Post printing if the letters don't immediately fit, you will need to shave off the edges of the letters at the dovetail joint and at the edges of the opening at the base.

No supports needed for anything as well, please let me know if you have any questions.
