Introducing The Bladder Buddy, the innovative 3D printed solution for drying your Camelbak or other hydration bladders quickly and hygienically. This unique hanger features an internal expanding mechanism that securely holds the bladder open, allowing for optimal airflow and efficient drying.
Key Features:
- Expandable Design: The DryPak features a clever "Expander" that allows it to keep both sides of the bladder wide apart.
- Foldable: The arms of the hanger fold inwards, making it easy to insert in the bladder.
- Print-in-Place: The DryPak is designed to be 3D printed as a single piece, with no assembly required.
- Customizable: Different sizes are available to accommodate various bladder types.
- Parametric tolerances: I set the tolerance to 0.4mm when printing and exporting my models, attached my Fusion files if you want to change this parameter.
- Two sizes: I uploaded two sizes - the S version fits bladders up to 140mm width, the L fits bigger bladders.
How it Works:
- Insert the DryPak into the bladder with the arms folded inwards.
- Hang the DryPak using the hook.
- The weight of the bladder will cause the arms to expand, securely holding it open for drying.
- Turn the Expander 90° in order to fully open you bladder and quickly dry it.
My Printing settings:
- No supports required.
- Material: PLA
- Layer height: 0.15mm
- Infill: 10%
- Print in place only! The is no way to assemble the components if printed separately.
