DJI Avata 2 - 1/4 inch screw camera mount

Mount a camera like the Insta360 X3 to the underside of the Avata2. Designed to take a 1/4"-20 1/2" hex head screw. I printed mine in PLA+, 2 perimeters, 10% cubic infill, and 3 top and bottom layers. The entire assembly, including a stainless steel hex bolt, weighs only 13.5g. 

I made this capture slow sweeping shots with a 360 cam. I wouldn't recommend doing acrobatics with it - but let me know if you do try it out!  Do so at your own risk.

The model is contoured to the shape of the Avata 2. It will only mount one way - with the camera on the underside of the drone.

Tips

• Test fit the parts before assembling on the drone. This will let you get the proper orientation of the bolt so that your camera is facing the desired orientation when tightened against the lock collar. 
• You will have to flex the strap ends to insert it through the gaps on the side of the drone. It may catch on edges so assist it as it goes through. 
• Install the bolt on the inner strap end then slide the outer end into position.
• The triangle logo on the lock collar goes towards the front of the drone.
