Router base plate Makita, Katsu, Anesty & other

This is an enlarged base for Makita RT007 compatible router. With this base it is easier to hold the router level to the work piece and guide it on narrow pieces or at the edges.

It has a handle so your other hand is out of the danger zone. This model comes in 4 variants.

router_base_plate_knob.stl - printed knob
no extra stuff is needed, just install this new base plate

router_base_plate_diy.stl - ability to mount own knob, e.g. made from wood
use M8 nut* + screw and make your own knob/handle e.g. from wood. 

router_base_plate_handle_makita.stl - bar type grip from makita plunge base
use M8 nut* + bar grip from the makita plunge base. Bar grip is from the round shield to tip of the thread ~36mm

bar type grip from multitool (ECRA)
use M8 nut* + bar grip from e.g. multitool. Bar grip is from the round shield to tip of the thread ~26mm

*The nut has tight fit, you have to use a screw to pull it in place

Print Instructions

• I recommend PETg, but any other material should be good too
• 4 top/bottom layers
• 3-5 perimeters
• 15-20% infill
• variable layer height
• add paint on support around the borehole for the knob/handle

This thingy is compatible with Prusa mini and similar sized printers. Model should be rotated by 45 degrees and disable skirt/brim.
