This is my take on fume and dust extraction for my small workshop.
It is parametric and can be adjusted with a bit of FreeCAD knowledge.
Printing advice:
- use 0.6mm nozzle and 0.40mm layer height
- print in PETG for some flex and conformity, though PLA should also work fine
- only the lid needs some some support for the clip holes, at least on my MK3S+
Usage advice:
- set on table and direct to the fume/dust source
- mount hanging above or near the fume/dust source (see picture for samples)
Needed hardware:
- 1x 120x120mm fan
- 4x M4x12mm screws to mount the fan
- 1x 23x19cm piece of filter material (I use standard 57x47cm fleece for kitchen fume extractors with a bit of active charcoal and cut it to size)
Enjoy.
