Compact Radar Presence Sensor - LD2410C And D1 Mini Esp32 Wall Case (EspHome)

A wall mount radar presence sensor with a LD2410C that gets directly attached to the Wemos D1 Mini Esp32. EspHome and Home Assistant recommended. Fitting yaml is provided as txt (restriction from printables).

BOM:

• D1 mini ESP32 with Usb-C, e.g. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32816045916.html
• LD2410C sensor, e.g. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005400130647.html
• Perf Board/Double Side Prototype PCB 3 * 7 cm, 10 holes width, e.g. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006100148769.html (maybe this is even better as it doesn't need to be cut as it seems https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32627711647.html however i didn't tried it)

Instructions:

• cut the perf board so you have a 10 by 5 holes area
• solder the LD2410C board to the perf board (see photos), shorten the excess length of the pins
• solder the traces at the back side of the perf board (see photos), don't solder the outer most holes yet
• place the board on the D1 Mini like in the photos (rx and tx are pin 16 and 17) and solder it to the relevant pins
• place the assembly in the case (see photos)
• screw or glue the back plate of the case to the wall
• clip the case with the inserted assembly to the back plate

The back plate has some holes in case you want to power it from the back via pins, so no cable is visible.
