Description

Update: 9 March 2025 (v1.1)

I just reduced the thickness of the attachment part for the nut and bolt so that the bolt head does not interfere with the hotend fan.

---

This fan duct is for a 5015 blower which uses the original mounting plate of the part cooling fan for the Ender 3 Neo. This is good for those who do not want to make too many changes to their printer.

Note: This was made to be used with the “Naked fan holder” hotend cooling mod or any hotend fan holder with the same footprint. You can use the hotend fan holders below:

  • 4010 fan: https://www.printables.com/model/503661-ender-3-v2-neo-naked-fan-holder
  • 4020 fan: https://www.printables.com/model/916782-ender-3-neo-naked-fan-holder-gdstime-4020

Print Settings

  • Print the model in the default orientation when it is imported into your slicer.
  • 0.2mm layer height or less
  • This model does not need support. However, if your bridging is poor, I suggest adding organic supports at the mouth of the duct outlets.
  • I printed this in PETG. I'm not sure if PLA will do since the duct in front is quite close to the heat block.

Additional material required

  • 1x M3x25 bolt with nut (or cable tie)

Install Instructions

  • Remove the stock 4010 fan
  • Attach the fan duct to the original mounting plate using the two short screws from the stock 4010 fan
  • Insert the outlet of your 5015 fan in the duct inlet.
  • Align the mounting holes of the 5015 fan to the duct adapter holes
  • Insert the bolt and tighten the nut (or use a cable tie) to secure the fan
