Life-sized Swedish trekking/camping hatchet for Halloween.
30 cm long, fits all standard size printers (256x256mm), no supports needed.
Printing instructions.
- If your slicer takes STEP files, choose those. They're the highest resolution. If it doesn't go for 3MF.
- Doesn't need much infill. 8% Gyroid worked for me, but I wanted it to be very light.
- Don't use grid on flat prints like this.
- I went with 3 walls.
- No supports
- I printed in PLA Matte with adaptive layer height, but 0.2 should work fine.
- Print one of each handle sides diagonally on your bed and glue them together.
- The axe head slides on easily. A few drops of glue will set it in place.
- My print is a bit rough, I was in a hurry, so too much speed.
- Printing times with mentioned settings was 50 minutes for each handle side and 45 minutes for the head.
- Added the full handle too if you want to print it in one piece. Keep in mind you'd need supports then.
