Description
When installing a bit in a router, the bit must not be set too low, or too high, in the collet. Sometimes it’s hard to see the gap so these spacers will help give you a consistent 1/8 inch space between the bit and the collet. When the collet is loose, just slip the spacer on to the shaft of the bit and slide the bit into the collet and tighten it. Then remove the spacer! Print the spacers in a bright color so it is easy to see if you forget to take it out.
There are various handle shapes so you can find the one the works best in your setup. There are also two sets of spacers: one for use on ½ inch bit shafts and one for ¼ inch bit shafts.
