Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy

This was a model I downloaded as an experiment in colouring PLA 3D prints. It was printed on a Kobra 2, using Sunlu black PLA. I wanted to try giving it a metallic sheen and I think I have managed it. It would probably look better with a finer print height or printed on a resin printer.

If I get enough likes and downloads, I will explain how I did it. :-)

As promised  I used a coat of 3d Printer resin Gave it a short blast of UV so that the coating was not completely dry and then brushed some nail polish metallic powder on. Gave it another coat of resin, another blast with the UV and Voilà, chrome finish.
