About
I use side panel as a doors in Prusa Enclosure Mini, and I wanted to move the LCD panel.
This is the result - Prusa Mini Enclosure LCD Side Mount Frame.
You can adjust the placement of the frame to fix it in desired location.
You can also rotate the LCD panel on the bolt screw and fix it in desired location.
One photo is from unpublished prototype.
Please give a like and post makes and provide comments for further improvements.
Assembly
- print one of the frames - one is longer to allow to mount it lower/higher - the groove is to allow placing it on the ziptie extrusions on the metal frame
- put M3 nut into the hole and use the M3x20 original bolt to screw in the LCD panel to the fram
- you probably need different LCD cable (a bit longer than the original one)
- use a drill to make 3mm hole in the frame whenever you want to place the LCD panel as it fits
- use M3x12 bolt, washer and M3 nut to fix the frame to the enclosure.
Changelog
- 2024.10.14 - initial v1 version, added v2 version with bigger groove (not tested) because the original one was a bit too narrow
Print
- 0.2mm layer, 0.4mm nozzle, 15% infill, PETG or something better recommended to withstand the temperatures inside.
- notice gcode contains moves for my custom timelapse video capture (print head moves to back and then to Z axis), so provided gcode file is just for rough estimation of the print time + required filament,
