Description
All models are pre-oriented for ease of use. I've optimized the tomb to print with no supports whatsoever.
The tombs have a slight chamfer along the back/bottom side as you print it. This makes it slightly less likely to warp, and makes removing the print from your bed a touch easier.
For the roof layers, it's better to run with a slightly lower nozzle temperature to help prevent over-extrusion and bulging where the two sides of the roof join together in the middle.
The top is only a few mm thick, so it would be very easy to drill out a space to run an LED into if desired. If there's demand for me to incorporate that into the model, I'd be happy to try. :) I was personally satisfied with the amount of light coming through the window.
There's a 3.5mm thick, 50mm wide, ~120 tall channel in the back of the “Separate Window” models for either the “Window” stl I've provided, or for 3mm thick stained glass that you can get online or from a local hobby shop.
The “Separate Coffin” tomb models feature a key on the coffin-rest to make alignment with the “Coffin” models easier for assembly using the keyhole they feature on the back.
Dracula's Tomb - Complete
~430g of filament at 10% infill, and dimensions of roughly 100x150x205.
Rectangular Tomb - Complete
~375g of filament at 10% infill, and dimensions of roughly 100x150x165.
It's roughly 50g less filament to print the models that don't have the window and coffin built in. :)
I used some dark grey Americana paint for the window panes on the front and back windows, which worked a lot better than the Inkzall marker I tried at first. Fun fact for you, markers will just bleed into the layer lines. You definitely want to go with paint. :P
Glass cutting can be intimidating and really difficult to learn, so don't feel bad if you just print one of my window models for now. The red filament I used still let a lot of light through!
I placed an LED candle behind for a flickering effect behind the window. :)
Enjoy!
