Felted External Disk Holder

I am often taking my external hard drive with me, and I didnt have a proper, safe place to put it while it is hooked to my PC. This mount is designed bigger to accommodate 3mm thick felt padding that is glued to the bottom, and to the holder sides, to prevent scratching. Disk gives nice smooth feel while sliding in, and sits snug in the holder. I am using is Seagate Backup Plus with dimensions:  115x78x20mm, but I believe holder is compatible with other 2.5-inch external hard drives.

Padding can be made out of just two pieces of felt, but I believe it is easier to glue it to the inside, if each side has its own separate piece of felt.

The mount is fixed to the PC housing side panel with strong double sided tape, but if you prefer it to be screw mounted, there is a version for M3 sink screws.
