Versatile & robust turn table (Video / 3d Scanning/ ...)

Description
Heyho
Yesturday I came up with the desire to create my own turn table xD
So here it is!
Features
Strong: I designed this Table to hold quite some weights. The main tolerance/ wiggling will be due to the bearing itself. In my tests I added a statue with >2,6 kg.
Versatile
I designed 2 Plates. One minimalistic and unicolor one and one with 2 colors for 3D Scanning.
There are different Middle parts to have the Table lock in place at specified positions or let it moove freely.
It is possible to add different lock parts later on that let you adapt how many stops there are available.
You can use the Turntable as it is or you can Clamp it to a table, screw it to sth. or add 4 Magnets to hold it into place.
I tried to make use of as few hardware as possible. So for the basic assembly you will only need the bearing and 1 screw.
I added printed threads to the Plate. But since I don't want to create waste and printed threads are not the most durable ones I added a cavity to add a Nut later on.
Hardware
You will need 1 x 608 Bearing and 1 x M4 x 25 mm Screw to assemble the turn table.
Additionally you can add 1 x M4 Nut for a stronger assembly.
'
Optionally you can add 4 x Magnets with 10 mm Diameter or add 4 x M4 Screws to mount the Base to sth.
Parts Describtion
- Plate → A simple plate with no pattern.
- ScanPlate → A plate with an irregular pattern to make 3D scanning easier.
- Lock → Holds the bearing in place and specifies the clicking pattern.
- Base No Supports → Easy to print Base.
- Base Clampable → Adds the possibility to clamp it to a table but you will need supports.
- Clicker → Middle part with 1 Clicking arm.
- Double Clicker → Middle part with 2 Clicking arms (why not?).
- Freespinner → Middle part to let the Plate moove freely.
- Drill Template → Marking aid if you want to screw the plate to sth.
- Lock Tool → Tool to clamp the Lock in place quite snug.
Printing Instructions
I printed all parts with 0,2 mm layer height and a ,4 mm Nozzle on my printers (X1C, MK4S, XL).
I tested all parts with PLA & PETG. Both work just fine.
You will need supports with the “Clampable Base”.
The 3D Scanning Plate needs to be printed with 2 colors at the first layer.
Remix Culture
If you want to create your own remixes (Different clicking mechanisms) I added the .step file of the lock and the middle part (clicker) to make it easily adaptable to your needs.
Assembling
- Print all parts and get the hardware.
- If you want to make use of the M4 Nut clear the middle part of the plate.
- Add the Bearing to the Base. (If it is very snug u can use some force/ hammer).
- Add the lock. (If it is necessary use the tool)
- Lay the Base on top of the Plate, align both parts properly.
- Add the middle part (CLicker/ Free spinner) and make sure it fits to the plate properly.
- Screw the base to the Plate with the M4 x 25 mm Screw.
- Optionally: Add the Magnets or screw the Base to sth.
Have fun!
