AM8 with MK3S Prusa direct-extruder

Printing out all the necesarry parts, everything fit nicely! Waiting for the parts from china.

Except for the filament sensor, everything arrived. Assembled the whole thing and came to the conclusion that there is no way to reliably mount the x-axis endstop. It is taped into place for now. Furthermore, all parts fit nicely and photos of the build are uploaded.

While owning both an Anet AM8 and a Prusa MK3S you start to really appreciate the work and effort the guys at Prusa research put into their extruder. I wanted to convert my AM8 Bowden setup to the same extruder.

With the help of some 3D modeling, the files that are shared by Prusa and my friends at Alieexpress this is something that is quite easy to accomplish.

This is a work in progress and I will keep you posted while i continue my build. For now, all the necessary files made by Prusa and the edited parts of the AM8 build can be found here.

I already owned the part cooling fan, the 40mm fan, the e3d hotend (china cloon) and the extruder motor. If you don't have these parts this would also be something to buy.
