Simsonn Pro Pedal Drill Guides

This is really straight forward. Do you have a wheel stand, a cheap one, and the pedal plate doesn't have all the slots you need to mount your pro pedals? I came up with these drill guides. The clutch and gas pedals have the same foot print, while the brake pedal has a different foot print.

1. To use these, first get the plate right off your wheel stand. 
2. Next, mock up the pedals in the way you want, and see what slots most closely align with your pedals.
3. Take 2 M6x20 bolts and nuts, and use them to mount the guide to the plate using the slot your pedal lined up with.
4. On the opposite side use a center punch to mark the holes you're going to drill. The wholes in the jig are 7mm in CAD and print out to around 6.8mm on average. You will need to line up your punch to be centred in the hole. Alternately use a 7mm drill bit to mark the plate by hand.
5. Remember, the brake pedal is wider, so use the correct drill template for it.
6. Repeat this for the other 2 pedals. 
7. Now use a 1mm drill bit to pilot drill the 6 holes, then drill those out with a 7mm drill bit. You can use a J or 9/32 drill bit. Just get close to 7mm so you have some play with the M6 hardware.
8. Mount your pedals, and you're off to the races; literally.

This might seem obvious, or not needed, but it was the easiest way for me to layout and drill the 6 holes precisely to mount my pedals to the plate on this cheap wheel stand. It's probably over-engineered for this purpose, but it was my solution.
