FlashForge Adventurer 5M Side Mount Spool Holder

Overview

A re-imagined side mounted spool holder for the Flashforge Adventurer 5M. This design fits over your existing enclosure piece “D1”. A 4mm x 10mm bolt might be needed to replace the existing bolt in the guard plate, although I was able to use the stock one. There are 2 spots to insert short runs of PTFE tube to lower the friction between the spool and the holder. Designed to offer the most direct path to load your filament as possible, complete with a voronoi look to finish it off. The non-enclosure version is untested as it was made per request.

Printing

It is more than possible to print this without any supports, and I would recommend it. Although you might need to clean the voronoi holes up a bit afterwards. If you use supports, I suggest trees on the build plate only. Good luck getting them all out.
