Description

This is an awesome model of a 3D printable rocket LED sign, designed to be an eye-catching display for any space. With impressive dimensions of approximately 60 cm tall and 25 cm wide, this model serves not only as a stunning decoration but also as a functional LED sign that can illuminate your surroundings.

The design captures the iconic shape of a rocket, making it perfect for enthusiasts of space exploration, children’s rooms, or anyone looking to add a unique touch to their decor. The model is currently available as one large piece, which might be too big for most standard 3D printers. However, with a few simple steps, you can easily cut it down to size for printing.

To prepare the model for your printer, you can use the cut tool in your slicer software. If you’re using Prusa Slicer, follow these detailed instructions:

1. Orient the Model: Begin by rotating the model 90 degrees so that it stands upright on the build plate. This orientation will allow you to cut the model more effectively and utilize the vertical space of your printer.

2. Locate the Cut Tool: Look for the cut tool in your slicer software, represented by an icon resembling a cube with a larger face in the middle. This icon is located at the bottom left of the Prusa Slicer interface.

3. Cut the Model: Once you’ve found the cut tool, use it to slice the model at the print bed height minus 10 mm. This ensures that the sections are not too tall for your printer. Repeat this process until the entire model is divided into manageable parts that can fit within your printer’s build volume.

4. Adjust Orientation of Sections: After slicing, you may need to adjust the orientation of the individual sections. Turn them so that the shorter side is aligned with the print bed, allowing for optimal printing conditions.

5. Slice and Print: Now that the model is divided into printable sections, slice each of them and prepare them for printing. Make sure to check the settings and ensure that your printer is ready for the job. Remember to click on the eye icon next to the model list to hide any parts that you don’t want to slice, which can help you focus on the pieces you need to print.

6. Share Your G-code: If you successfully slice the G-code for this model, I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me the G-code files. I plan to compile these files and share them with others in the community who may want to print the rocket LED sign without having to go through the slicing process themselves.

With its eye-catching design and the added functionality of being an LED sign, this rocket model is sure to impress anyone who sees it. Enjoy your printing adventure, and I can’t wait to see how your rocket LED sign turns out!
