Description
I've been setting up my new (and first) woodworking shop and trying to get organized. I'm trying to use the limited space wisely and building a table saw accessory cabinet to fit under the extension table of my Saw Stop PCS. I made the bottom drawer tall enough to hold saw blades. This makes for a handy place to store my dado set. The set comes in a nice case, but it is too tall to stand up inside the drawer and I didn't want to have it laying down taking up all the space, not to mention having to dig it out after piling other things on top of it. I wanted quick, convenient access to the dado set, so I designed this holder. It includes 1/8" spacers to ensure the carbide tips of the blades can't contact each other. I also added a wing nut to keep the blades in place so they don't rattle around when opening and closing the drawers. (One of the photos also shows my spare brake holder, which I will upload shortly.)
