Description
An effector housing I designed more than a year ago.
Printed with simple PETG it shows no signs of deterioration.
Goal was to achieve a light and compact effector for quality printing (reduce ringing for 150mm/s print speed) housing especially created to mount this superb hotend and a direct drive extruder. Both extruder and hotend can achieve high flows by using a CHT nozzle, but i wanted something that printed really well and reliably even with flexible materials. Speed wasn't the main goal so stock fans are used.
REQUIRES TO DREMEL A BIGGER EFFECTOR HOLE!
Using 0.6mm standard plated nozzles prints 150mm/s nicely, retraction 0.4mm.
PETG is good for the application, only minimal flex is seen when tightening the nozzle (without holding the hotend). Consider printing using CF-PETG
Cooling nozzles are reinforced so printing at 160C won't make them sag.
