DESIGN DESCRIPTION:

GURUGURU - named after Tobi from Naruto; has been designed to provide angular momentum which accentuates the Coriolis force (an apparent force that as a result of the earth's rotation deflects moving objects Counter - Clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and Clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere). The funnel has a unique mesh midway which further accentuates the swirling motion of the liquid exiting the funnel. The best way to observe the swirling effect is to pour the liquid on the walls of the funnel rather than on the center, as the funnel is designed to induce angular momentum.

PRINTING :

There are separate files for each hemisphere. Below is a map of the globe showing bifurcation based on hemispheres.

NOTE FOR COUNTRIES ON THE EQUATOR =  according to the principle of Coriolis force, for countries on the equator there should not be any spin when the liquid is draining away. Therefore depending on which of the files you print there maybe a slight spin due to the design of the funnel which forces the liquid to spin, but I am curious to know what the actual findings will be.

  1. Resolution Profile - 0.2mm Quality
  2. Material - PLA/PETG/ASA/ABS etc. ( Depending on your end usage conditions)
  3. Perimeters - 2
  4. Infill - 15-100% (Depending on your end application, although the printing time difference between the both is 30 minutes).
  5. Supports (please select “for support enforcers only”) - Paint-on-Supports - Select the Mesh Face

AFTER-PRINT CARE:

Support Removal - The supports are very easy to remove from the model, use a forceps or a  needle nose plier to pull the support-print interface layer. 

Ensure absence of stringing and blobs  which may slow down/obstruct liquid flow for optimum performance.

Since I reside in the Northern Hemisphere I could only test one of the designs. I would love to see your findings.
