As a stout-hearted dwarf from Deep Rock Galactic, I couldn't find a keychain for my favorite brew, Smart Stout. So, I took matters into my own hands and crafted this 3D model in Blender, with multiple layers for easy color shifts. I included both a keychain model (has a hoop for attachment) and a model that only has the label. For Karl!
before printing, every good Dwarf MUST read the following:
- If you are printing at 100% scale, Managment ONLY suggests printing with a 0.25mm nozzle. Printing with the 0.4mm nozzle will lose a lot of the details and will not look very good. You can try, but you might need to increase the model size to get that detail back out of the STL.
- Keep in mind after scaling up that you may want to flatten the model back down to the original height to save on some print time. Each color transition is about 1.5mm which should be enough to get a solid layer in without much/any transparency issues.
- Turn on Ironing on the top layer when printing! This will fill in a lot of the gaps in your print where there is more detail needed. This will greatly improve the look of your print.
- If there are any 3D printing Green Beards here, don't forget to apply color changes!
