Front Bumper Maverick ION DT XB 1/18

Note: This is still work in progress, I have discovered some stability issues that will require a bit of a different design in the top part.

Front Bumper for Maverick ION DT / XB 1:18 RC Model

Made for: Maverick Ion DT XB / Himoto Spino E18DB E18XB / HPI HPIMV12806

Basically your front shock tower must be visible from the front side of the car body.

Tired of constantly bending front shocks? 

This bumper locks snug on to front diff cover and does not require any screws.

It's made to be sturdy and withstand some betting and abuse. 

Note that differential might accumulate temperature while under heavy load and this design reduces cooling surface that allows for heat dissipation. This will not kill your diff, but might increase wear and reduce lubricant life-time.

• Width: ~100mm
• Height: ~32mm
• Depth: ~27.5mm
• Weight: ~18g (~6m) of PLA

Printing Notes

• Both PETG and PLA should work OK for this print.
• Print face/front down to minimize supports
  • Supports mainly needed for the slot fitting the original bumper thing
• Walls (perimeters) give it strength not infill. I used 4 walls.
• I advise use of textured sheet for better looks.
• Brim is recommended for PLA due to low surface area of the arms on the first layer.
