2 Piece Aquarium Algae Feeder. Great to keep your Triggers, Tangs, Angels, and many other marine fish happy in your tank.
Simply open and place dried seaweed on screen and secure backing plate with raised dimples to promote feeding.
Keeps seaweed secured and reduces waste and maintains water quality.
NOTE: Use PETG, PLA or ABS to keep it safe with your fish. PETG/ABS is a better long-term plastic.
SUGGESTION: Use contrasting colors for screen and backing plate. I currently use a teal blue ABS backing plate with a black ABS screen. This makes it easy to see when the algae has been fully eaten.
Support is required under the edge of the retaining clip and the locating center tab on the feeder plate. No supports are required for the feeder screen and magnet cover.
Post print clean up overhang area from excess material from supports and ensure good fitment with the feeder screen.
Stack 2 magnets (20X3mm) in the cavity. Orientate the north/south poles on the magnets to align with the magnet on the outside of the aquarium. Marking the magnet with a sharpie will help keep the orientation when potting with epoxy. Use a 2 part epoxy to seal and glue in the magnets.
I have a 200 gallon ¾" glass aquarium and the 2 magnets (20X3mm) work well securing the feeder to the side glass.
