Description

The carriage enables a direct extruder conversion using the original extruder with a Spider hotend. Mounting locations for the CR Touch and G-Sensor from the Nebula Smart kit are also designed into the part.

You will need a 52mm bowden tube to connect the extruder to the Spider hotend, I suggest starting with 55mm and shortening it until the extruder mounting holes align.

I ended up printing mine out of PAHT-CF on a different printer.

The carriage works well with fanducts:

Dual part cooling fans: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4749257
Single part cooling fan: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3419531

I have added 2x M3 threads next to the Hotend for additional fan duct mounting options.I HAVE REMIXED the Cooling fan designs to utilise those threads in order to keep the hotend mounted as firmly as possíble, without any plastic that might soften during heat cycles

I suggest printing the Carriage out of PC-CF or PA-CF

PS. if you need a different file format, just leave a comment. Most slicers can work with .step files however and they are easier to remix. I have a version for the OEM Hotend, but it was not designed to final product, so it is only available on thingiverse.

The cooling fan duct is a bit of a messy and huge .step file, so I only uploaded it as an STL.
