Description
As with any tool, Necessity is the mother of invention. I am cutting a tree on the side of my house that hangs over my neighbor's home. The exact spot I need to run a rope over the limb is too far and congested of a space to throw a pull line. This attachment for a generic screw together pole saw will on one side, place the hook or weight over the limb, and the other can hook the weight or hook at the end of the rope to pull the rope or line to you as you bring the pole saw pole back.
When Printing I added 1 wall loop making it total 3 walls at 40% infill with supports in ABS filament, but I am sure you can use any handy sturdy filament you have lying around.
I sized the mounting peg for the hole in the pole saw pole I have, You May need to tweak the size in your slicer, but I made mine a little smaller, so that I can use electrical tape to stay on the inside of the pole.
