iPod Classic 5G (80GB+) Case - MagSafe Edition

Anders als bei meinen Vorgängerversionen, handelt es sich hier um ein Case für den iPod Classic der fünften Generation, bei dem -wie bei gängigen Handyhüllen auch- der iPod von vorn einfach hineingedrückt wird. Außerdem findet sich in diesem Case platz für einen MagSafe-Ring, damit alle gängigen Halterungen genutzt werden könne (keine Ladefunktion versteht sich). Verwenden könnt ihr hierfür einen günstigen Metallring, den es bsp. auf AliExpress zu kaufen gibt.

ACHTUNG!!! Verwendet dieses Case, insbesondere die MagSafe (Magnet!) Halterung nur mit einem iPod, der mit einem Flash-Mod ausgestattet wurde. Bei iPods mit originalen Festplatten kann es durch den Magneten zu Beschädigungen kommen!

Druckanweisung:

• druckt das Case auf dem Rücken liegend mit Supports (ich habe hierfür Baum-Supports genutzt). Achtet daraf, dass die Supports nicht den Ausschnitt für den Magsafe Ring berühren, da es sonst beim entfernen der Supports einreißen kann.
• 15% Gyroid Infill
• 0.2mm Schichthöhe (oder weniger)

Montage:

• Klebt den MagSafe-Ring einfach in die Aussparung
• Drückt den iPod dann vorsichtig ins Case

I made one more case for the iPod Classic fifth generation, but this one can be used like most smartphone cases as the iPod gets simply pressed in from the front. Additionally I made a cutout for a MagSafe-Ring to be placed in, so you can use most holders, that are featuring Apple's MagSafe (no charging of course). You can simply use one of the cheap metal-rings, that you can buy e.g. on AliExpress.

WARNING! Don't use the MagSafe feature (magnet!) of this case with iPods, that still use the original harddrive, only with flash-modded ones! iPods with original harddrives are going to get damaged!

print instruction:

• print the case laying flat on its back with supports (I was using tree supports). Take care of the magsafe ring cutout, no supports should be attached to the thin part of the cutout, as it could get damaged while removing the supports
• 15% gyroid infill
• 0.2mm layer height (or less)

assembly:

• glue the magsafe ring into the cutout
• carefully press the iPod into the case
