Description
To assemble the lure you need:
If you have a different diameter wire or screw eyes and they do not fit, send me a message and I'll upload a new version (communication is faster on Discord)
Printing Instructions:
I recommend using a 0.2 mm nozzle for this lure to keep the weight down and capture all the details.
If you use Orca Slicer or Bambu Studio, download the 3mf file, change the printer and filament to what you have and you should be fine.
Import the model into your slicer, it should already be oriented properly.
Layer height: 0.1 mm
Wall printing order: Inner/Outer/Inner
Wall loops: 3 (If you are using a 0.4mm nozzle, set it to 2)
Infill: 10%
Infill pattern: Rectilinear (It is symmetric and helps with bed adhesion)
Minimum infill threshold: 0
Speed: default speeds of the slicer
Support: Tree(manual)
On Build Plate only: On
Support/object xy distance: 0.2 (If you are using a 0.4 mm nozzle leave it at default)
Support/object first layer gap: 0.16 (If you are using a 0.4 mm nozzle leave it at default)
Using support painting, set the highlight angle to 73 degrees, enable “on overhangs only”, and use the paint bucket tool to fill the highlighted area on the back of the lure
You must add a couple of pauses to embed the split shot weights into the lure.
Pause 1: Layer 231 at 23.1 mm. Insert one 4.5 mm split shot
Pause 2: Layer 316 at 31.6 mm. Inset one 4.5 mm split shot
If you are using a larger layer height like 0.2 mm then the layer numbers might be different for you, use the height as a guideline for the pauses, it is completely fine if the height is +/-0.1mm from the actual value.
Assembly:
Glue in the twist wires or screw eyes (15mm screw eyes at max).
Optional: Paint the lure with your favorite lure pattern.
Glue in the eyes.
Give it a couple of clear coats.
Put on some hooks and enjoy your brand new lure.
