Description
A replacement part for the front of the screw mount that attaches using 2 ~8mm m3 bolts. It provides a smoother turning knob when under pressure, and should be stronger. This is the part that holds the screw in place when the clamp is tightened and the standard model uses a snap in semi-circle, which works fine for light loads but does not give smooth operation. I will likely add a version that is attached together with melted 1.75mm filament instead of an m3 bolt soon.
I printed my first of these clamps arms from pet-cf, and its is strong enough that the standard part for this breaks, so I designed this from scratch to fix that problem. It still technically relies on plastic to hold it in, but now it can be from any material even something not flexible (like pet) for extra strength since it doesn't need to snap through a hole!
Print out of whatever, but the stronger the better as long as it doesnt flex too much. (you need 2 identical halves)
