Description

Most risers I've found were too big for my tastes (both height and thickness), took a long time to print, used a lot of material, needed supports, some needed non-3D printed parts, and most ventilation was inadequate so I still needed to remove the lid for air flow. I made this riser to be thin yet sturdy for less material usage and faster print time, low yet high enough to avoid the filament tube, no supports needed, only 3D printed parts, and a sliding system as seen here which provides better airflow and removes the need to move the lid around. The lid also moves up and back enough for heat to escape but still protects against drafts. I also wanted this model to have all it's parts be able to fit on smaller print beds at the same time.

 

Using default PETG speeds on my K1 Max, this model prints in 3.5 hours and uses only 97g of filament with 0.2mm layer height, 2 walls, 2 top and bottom layers, and 15% infill. I personally printed the final version with 3 walls and 25% infill which bumps the time up to 4 hours. This is still faster and uses much less material than most other risers. 

 

All parts are already oriented in the correct position (although you may need to rotate some). You also shouldn't have to use supports. There is a small (10mm) bridge where you can use supports if you wish but this distance is small enough that any printer can handle it fine. The number of each part to print is included in the file name. You need 1 of each corner piece, 4 middle pieces, 12 clips, and 4 pegs.
