Description
HO scale model of the Central Ontario Railway station at Bannockburn, Ontario. Model is based on 1902 plans found online. Photos of the actual station show that it was built somewhat differently, with a ramp at the freight end of the station.
Parts are separated for easy painting or for printing in different colours.
Walls are separated into top and bottom halves for printing in separate colours. There are also one-piece walls if you prefer to in a single colour; see the files with "one_colour" in the filename.
I like to print my roof parts, but you can use traditional sheet materials instead.
Printing notes
All parts print best at 0.1mm layers with 0.2mm extruder. Where detail is less critical, such as the large roof part, print at 0.2mm layers with 0.4mm extruder to save time.
Walls and entrance door parts are separated into top and bottom parts for printing in different colours. One-piece walls and door for printing in a single colour are also provided; see the files with "one_colour" in the filename.
There are two roof options. Use roof_flat.stl if you want to finish the roof with your own sheathing, such as paper printed shingles. Use roof_with_sheathing_locators.stl and the roof_sheathing parts for the roof shown in the photos.
Print roof_flat.stl or roof_with_sheathing_locators.stl on its end with a brim for bed adhestion; no other supports are needed for this part.
trim_door_freight.stl requires supports. No other parts require supports.
