Description

This mask came from a Frankenstein image that I made into a 3D model using this website [referral link: get a free month]. I then had to do a lot of doctoring to the mesh to turn it into a mask. The model somehow fused glasses into the head, making them part of the model. It looks like he's been out skiing. Ice has built up, turning his face into a mask, and his glasses have frozen to his skull! A paint/texture sample is included. But you don't have to use it. Feel free to hand paint your own. Or use your favorite digital paint-on textures tool.

The author is aware of the resemblance to Alaska Native art. He is an Alaska Native artist! You have permission to share this design with attribution to Henry Kroll.

These types of masks have had actual utility up North for many thousands of years. And they will into the far-see-able future. Even on other planets, they will protect the face from wind and elements. Cutting slits for eyes reduces the glare and prevents the wearer from going blind from sun reflecting off snow.

So in many ways, this is a traditional mask. It just  happens to incorporate “modern” design elements. In a few more thousand years, it will be just another one of those traditional masks, made from durable pthalates they had access to at the time.

Print with tree supports. Draft settings. Leave the tree supports on the outside for an even creepier look.
