Description

This 3D model represents an Apollonian cone, inspired by the studies of the ancient Greek mathematician Apollonius of Perga. 

The model explores the geometric elegance of a cone with distinctive cross-sectional properties, highlighting the relationships between its various conic sections: the circle, the ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola. Notably, each of these sections has marked focal points, allowing for a clearer visual understanding of the focal properties within each shape.

The model is available in two versions: one with physical joints connecting the pieces and another with magnetic connectors, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly. This design choice makes the model both visually compelling and practical for interactive educational use, encouraging hands-on exploration of classical geometric concepts. The Apollonian cone serves as a tribute to ancient geometry and its continued relevance in modern design, engineering, and mathematical visualization.

The version with magnets have 200mm of heigh and 120 mm of base diammeter, the version without magnets it's 100x60mm.

I recommend having the tolerances calibrated, printing in the default orientation and use high infill because in some pieces the holes for magnets start inside the piece.
