Description
As above, this is a grommet (cable guide) for a mountain bike shift / dropper cable for insertion into a 8x16mm slotted frame cutout hole.
I used this for retrofitting a new internally routed dropper post to a Trek Marlin 7.
The frame hole is created using two ø8mm holes at 8mm centres, and then filing (or use a small cutting wheel on a Dremel) to join the two ø8mm holes to create a slotted opening which is 16mm in length overall.
I have included both ‘half’ and ‘full’ slotted versions depending on how accurate you are with your drilling / filing work (the full slot version is required for tighter tolerance holes, whereas the half slot version is more rigid so can only fit into slightly larger openings).
Printed in TPU with 20% infill VERY slowly - 50% feed rate works on my Prusa Mk3s+.
