15mm rod mount for Misfit Atom

Allows a single 15mm rod for focus motors or other accessories to be mounted to a Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom.

Parts needed

4 x m3 threaded inserts
4 x m3 x 8mm screws

Installation

(1) Install the threaded inserts into the 4mm holes and screw in two m3 x 8mm screws into the two threaded ineserts on the 15mm rod clamp.

(2) Use two m3 x 8mm screws to install the rod clamp onto the mattebox where the top flag would mount. If you don't want to scratch the finish on your $470USD mattebox you can use the included 1mm spacer. Make sure to see the included photos for help with installation.

Disclaimer

This cannot be used the same time as the optional top flag from bright tangerine. Because the mattebox is so lightweight there isn't enough rigidity for stong motors or any structural rigging, I finished the design before I realised it wasn't rigid enough to be that useful. May be helpful for use on gimbals where every gram counts but I would suggest getting a 15mm rod mount for your camera cage.
